Tropical Loveland

The ABBA Down Under special from 1976 included a video for Tropical Loveland that had ABBA on a cabin cruiser and then taking a rowboat to a small bay to have a picnic. Here are a few Agnetha animated gifs from that video:

Knowing Me, Knowing You

These clips are from the Knowing Me, Knowing You promo video, shot in early 1977. Kind of a somber song, foreshadowing the demise of both ABBA couples a few years later. ABBA wouldn't be ABBA without these exact four people and the relationships were an important component as well... after the breakups, it just wasn't the same, and the group had to end.

Dancing Queens

A couple of clips of the ladies dancing while performing Dancing Queen - which, although an obvious choice, is my favorite ABBA song. I think A&F are at the top of their game here, with ABBA poised for world-wide domination.



First clip is from performance on German TV show Disco, in late 1976. The second clip is from the promo video, filmed in Alexandra Disco in Stockholm, early 1976.

The Day Before You Came, part 2

To follow up on last Friday's post... here's a couple of clips of Agnetha using her eyes and smile to seduce a stranger on a train..

The Day Before You Came

1982. ABBA's pretty much already done for, but manage to release a couple of singles, one of which is the haunting "The Day Before You Came". The video is unusual for ABBA too, in that it's not just the regular performance video, but it kinda tells a nebulous story about two lovers that meet on a train. Agnetha has a new look, more sophisticated, yet sexy as ever, as is evident in these little clips.

Les Rendez Vous du Dimanche, part 2

A few more Agnetha gifs from their appearance on the French TV show Les Rendez Vous du Dimanche, this time performing When I Kissed the Teacher. Couldn't be more adorable, if you ask me.

A little love for Frida

I find myself a little biased towards Agnetha in making these animated gifs... obviously both of the ABBA ladies are very talented and very beautiful (and photogenic) women. I guess i naturally prefer the blonde in this case, although I'm not entirely superficial, as I also prefer Agnetha's voice. Frida seems like a more fan-friendly performer and always seemed to enjoy being a part of the band more, and is a consummate professional.. there would be no ABBA without her. And honestly, she's held up better than Agnetha all these years later.

Eagle Agnetha

Agnetha Eagle Avatar - taken from the psychedelic "Eagle" video - one of my favorite ABBA promo videos - it's a little cheesy, but both the ladies are in absolutely top form. This little clip has wind blowing thru Agnetha's hair while she cheerfully sings High High, I'm a bird in the sky.. glorious.

Agnetha Twirl

Agnetha Twirl Animated GIF avatars/icons. The idea here is to make images available that can be used in Forums or whatever, with a wide range of sizes. Not sure if anyone would actually use them, but feel free to use/distribute any way you like.. I don't mind.

This appeared in the really bizarre intro to the AbbaDabbaDoo special.

Les Rendez Vous du Dimanche

ABBA appeared on French TV show "Les Rendez Vous du Dimanche" in late 1976 and performed When I Kissed the Teacher and Money Money Money.

I made 5 animated gifs from the Money Money Money performance - the camera seemed to focus on Agnetha a lot even when she wasn't singing, and she seemed to be a playful mood.
